About the Role:

Pace Six Four is looking for an experienced Commercial Director to drive revenue and lead our in-house team in the commercial development of our key clients and partners.

Managing a small team, the Commercial Director will be responsible for delivery of all aspects of the commercial programme, from research, outreach, pitching, negotiation and closing. The Commercial Director will have full budgetary control and P&L responsibility for the sales side of the agency.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop KPIs, values and business case for 64th & Social rightsholder properties, working closely with the client
  • Develop new and innovative commercial assets for rightsholders
  • Support the sales team in building well-constructed and considered prospection target lists
  • Brief and project manage the creative and commercial team in the development of world-class sales presentations and materials for our clients
  • Oversee the identification and sourcing of relevant contact details of prospective sponsors
  • Manage the outreach and follow up to prospective sponsors
  • Successfully pitch client properties to prospects
  • Oversee the development of creative and compelling partnership proposals
  • Co-ordinate the reporting of sales campaigns to the leadership team and to clients
  • Co-ordinate the drafting and execution of partnership agreements with our legal counsel
  • Successfully transition new partners to our partnership management team
  • Identify and pitch new client business for the agency

Essential Requirements:

  • 5+ years in the development of sports sponsorship deals
  • Proven track record of successfully secured business
  • Experience in developing rightsholder assets and KPIs
  • Familiarity with partnership proposals, presentations, and long-form agreements
  • Extremely self-motivated and proactive
  • Confident when pitching new business to sponsor prospects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build relationships with clients and prospects
  • Well-organised and professional
  • Strong creatively yet diligent when developing proposals and presentations
  • Ability to work independently across multiple projects, under pressure and to deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to meetings and motorsport events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Additional language skills a bonus
